NATS handled 2.6 million flights in 2019, covering the UK and eastern North Atlantic from its centres at Swanwick, Hampshire and Prestwick, Ayrshire. NATS also provides air traffic services at 14 UK airports; at Gibraltar Airport and, in a joint venture with Ferrovial, at a number of airport towers in Spain. Building on its reputation for operational excellence and innovation, NATS offers aerodrome, data, engineering, capacity, efficiency and environmental performance solutions to customers worldwide, including airports, airlines air traffic service providers and Governments.

NATS CEO:

Martin Rolfe was appointed CEO of NATS in May 2015 and is responsible for the24/7 air traffic operation. He joined the organisation in 2012 as Managing Director, Operations responsible for delivering NATS’ en route business, before being appointed as CEO in May 2015. Martin has more than 20 years’ experience working for a range of organisations in the safety critical aviation and ATM industry and has led large multinational teams across Europe, the US, the Commonwealth of Independent States, and the Far East, with customers including air navigation service providers, central government departments and military organisations. He was formerly Managing Director of Lockheed Martin’s UK Civil business.
