Insight into the A6 Working Groups

The A6 alliance has established two working groups to deal with the key areas of interest – SESAR R&D and SESAR Deployment.

The main purpose of the working groups is to share, synchronize and converge A6 activities within and beyond the SESAR programme for the benefit of A6 customers.

SESAR R&D

The aim of the R&D working group is to ensure that the SJU programme is driven by operational or ATM business needs. It tracks the R&D programme to make sure that strategic targets are created in the SESAR Definition Phase and that these are reviewed during the development phase.

Beneath the main working group, a  number of temporary task forces of dedicated experts have been set up covering complex issues such as Trajectory management, system architecture, andSystem wide information management or SWIM.

SESAR Deployment

The aim of the SESAR Deployment Working Group is to co-operate mainly in SESAR deployment planning (European ATM Master Plan); synchronisation, execution, funding & financing.
